What we do:MOMS Club of Meridian offers a variety of fun activities every month. We try to incorporate social and learning activities for both kids and moms. Our goal is to offer at least four group activities a month and an age-based weekly playgroup for you and your child. Some group examples include: Monthly Club Meeting: Once a month we hold a club meeting to discuss and vote on up coming events. Playgroups: Small groups are organized by a coordinator to get moms and children together on a weekly basis to play. Park Days: We meet at various parks during nice weather to give the children a chance to play with each other and enjoy some fresh air. Daytime Activities: We schedule activities during the weekdays to get moms and their children out of the house and to help break up the day. There are usually 4 – 5 of these activities each month. They could be tours or outings to some of our favorite places in the area. Some examples are Park days, zoo days, tours of fire stations, ice cream parlors, and pizza places. Indoor playgrounds, fruit picking, children’s museums, stroller clubs, holiday parties, arts and crafts and much, much more. Holiday Celebrations: we to special get together around the holidays. Examples are going to the Pumpkin patch for pumpkins, a Christmas party with Santa, Valentine exchange, Easter Egg hunt, Mother’s Day tea and more. Mom’s Night Out: As much as we love our children, it is nice to get out once a month with other moms and enjoys some adult conversation. Theses Activities could include: Movies, dinner, scrapbooking, cooking classes, crafts, and much more. Other ways we support each other is through our service projects, helping hands, and babysitting co-op: Service Project: International MOMS club chapters are asked to perform one service project per year benefiting children in the community. Some of service projects may include: donation of clothes, toys, and food to local groups; donations of school supplies to local schools and adopting a family in need for the holidays. Helping Hands: Anytime a member is in need, our members come together to help out. We provide meals, childcare, laundry, shopping, or cleaning to eligible members due to illness, personal crisis or birth of a child. Babysitting Co-op: The co-op is designed to provide adult supervision of children on a non-monetary point system basis between members. |
